Hi, I’m Mikayla, the designer behind MKID.

I’m an interior designer focused on creating spaces that feel just as good as they look. I believe good design isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about how a space functions, flows, and supports your everyday life. After all… small details make a big impact.

I specialize in residential design, whether it’s a small refresh or a larger project, my goal is always the same: to make the process feel clear, collaborative, and actually enjoyable.

What sets my approach apart is how much I value communication. I take the time to understand how you live, what matters to you, and how your space needs to work. From there, I guide you through decisions in a way that feels simple and intentional, not overwhelming.

I’m especially passionate about the details. Materials, layouts, and finishes that come together to create a space that feels cohesive and elevated, but still livable.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me outside, working on creative projects, or sharing pieces of my life and work online. I’m drawn to good design, fresh air, and creating a life that feels grounded and fulfilling.
